Syd Meats draws inspiration from many influences including astronomy, the seashore, and architecture. As a chemist and engineer, the structures of materials and the fabrication processes used in electronics have inspired his creations.
He has studied at two private jewellery schools in Dorset, and at Bournemouth and Poole College where techniques such as etching and enamelling appealed to his technical background.
For Syd creativity is as essential as breathing, and progression to becoming a designer maker has been a natural process. The result is unique and timeless treasure.
